Bakuchiol is the natural alternative to retinol derived from the psoralea corylifolia (babchi) plant and is included in both the anti-aging serum and cream in this set. It has been shown to have similar effects as retinol without sensitivity and irritation. The apple fruit stem cell extract in the cream helps to activate your own skin stem cell regeneration. In addition, it combats the signs of aging and deep wrinkles. Topical application of this cream has been shown to help reduce the appearance of crow's feet, fine lines, and wrinkles with consistent daily use. The serum in this set features a variety of other beneficial ingredients including mandelic acid, niacinamide, and resveratrol. Mandelic acid is a chemical exfoliant, meaning it can help remove layers of debris through a reaction with the skin (rather than exfoliating via abrasive scrubs). By dissolving skin cells, mandelic acid is known to help reduce the appearance of skin damage or blemishes. Mandelic acid also strengthens the skin so it stays bright with continued use. Niacinamide is known to help promote keratin, a type of protein that keeps your skin firm and healthy. Niacinamide can help your skin improve the production of ceramide (lipid) barrier, which can, in turn, help retain moisture. Resveratrol assists in protecting the skin's surface and helps brighten the appearance of a tired-looking complexion.
